My first hiking trip was when I was in high school in the mid-90s- a dayhike to Mt Makiling. After that one hike, I knew I'd always long to be in the mountains. I knew I would find peace there and feel better connected to the Creator.
I've hiked sporadically since then, but more regularly in the late 90s, then since 2007after an 8-year hiatus. I owe a lot to my leaders in the Pathfinder Club in primary school, CAT Officers in high school, my mentors in UP Remontados during college, and hubby who's a member of PALMC. From them I learned much of what I know now. And then there are friends, old and new, in the mountaineering community who make hiking more fun and life more interesting.
I have not chronicled every single hiking trip, but I do want to be able to record any remaining memories from those trips. I have a lot of backlogged entries to make, and as I plan to hike more and write more, I look forward to sharing my experiences in the great outdoors.
For now, here's a list of mountains I have climbed and some of the blog entries I have made.
